Sign PDF FAQ

Is the PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The signature is drawn into the PDF entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. The PDF is never sent to a server.

Is this a legally binding e-signature?

No. This stamps a visual signature image onto a PDF. It is not a cryptographic digital signature and does not certify identity or document integrity. For legally binding workflows, use a dedicated e-signature provider.

Can I place the signature anywhere?

Pick the target page and one of nine anchor positions. Adjust the width to control how big the signature appears.

What signature image format is best?

PNG with transparent background works best because the page underneath shows through. JPG also works but adds a white rectangle around the signature.

Can I sign multiple pages?

Stamp one page per run. After downloading, re-upload the signed PDF to sign a different page.

Can I share the signed PDF as a link?

Yes. After download, upload it to PDFtoLink to generate an instant shareable URL with optional password protection.
