Watermark PDF FAQ
Is the PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Watermarks are drawn into the PDF entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Nothing is uploaded.
Can the watermark be removed later?
Watermarks placed by this tool are vector text or image content drawn into the PDF. They can be removed by a PDF editor that supports content editing, so this tool is not a substitute for true digital rights protection.
How is "Tile diagonally" different from a single watermark?
Tiling repeats the watermark in a rotated grid across each page. It is useful for a heavier "DRAFT" or "CONFIDENTIAL" look that covers the whole page.
Are transparent PNG logos supported?
Yes. The image watermark draws JPG and PNG. Transparency in PNG is preserved on top of the page content.
Will the watermark cover existing content?
The watermark is drawn on top of the page. Use opacity to keep underlying text readable.
Can I share the watermarked PDF as a link?
